The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) has awarded Chartered Fellowship Member (FCILT) status to Yukki Nugrahawan Hanafi and appointed him as a member of its Advisory Board. This appointment was made in recognition of Yukki’s nearly 30 years of experience in the logistics and supply chain industry in Indonesia, as well as his leadership at both national and global levels. His roles have included Chairman of the Indonesian Logistics and Forwarders Association (ALFI) from 2014 to 2023, Chairman of the ASEAN Federation of Forwarders Associations (AFFA) from 2016 to 2022, and currently Senior Vice President of FIATA (International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations).
The President of CILT Indonesia, Iman Gandi Mihardja, stated that Yukki Nugrahawan Hanafi’s experience and expertise are expected to strengthen CILT’s knowledge base, implementation, and strategic direction, particularly in developing human capital within the logistics industry.
“As an expert in logistics and supply chain management with nearly 30 years of experience as both a business practitioner and organizational leader, Yukki Nugrahawan Hanafi’s inclusion brings added value to CILT’s long-term growth, especially in enhancing the quality of skilled logistics human resources in Indonesia,” he said.
For context, CILT is a global professional organization focused on advocacy, education, and training to enhance human resource capacity in the logistics and supply chain sector. Founded in 1919 and headquartered in London, United Kingdom, CILT currently operates in more than 30 countries, with over 32,000 members and more than 5,000 globally accredited educational programs in logistics, transport, and supply chain.
Furthermore, the Chartered Fellowship (FCILT) is the highest professional designation awarded by CILT to established leaders who have demonstrated significant and sustained impact over a long period. It reflects senior-level expertise, strategic influence, and, in many cases, peer-nominated recognition.
Yukki Nugrahawan Hanafi, Advisory Board Member of CILT Indonesia and Senior Vice President of FIATA, expressed his enthusiasm for the appointment.
“I am honored to join the CILT Advisory Board to help drive growth and improve the quality of logistics human resources both in Indonesia and globally. I am motivated to bring Indonesia’s experience in logistics capacity development, as well as my extensive network through my involvement in various global forums and organizations,” he said.
Yukki hopes that his new role within CILT will have a positive impact on the national logistics industry and contribute to preparing high-quality logistics talent in Indonesia.
“Indonesia’s logistics and supply chain sector continues to contribute to national economic growth, both in terms of investment and job creation. Therefore, I hope that through my involvement in CILT, we can strengthen the quality of our national human resources so that the logistics sector continues to play a key role as a backbone of economic activity,” Yukki concluded.
Yukki will serve alongside other members of the CILT Advisory Board, including Jan Steenberg (United Kingdom), Steven Meyerhoff (United Kingdom), Michael Bourlakis (United Kingdom), Elizabeth Giliard (United Kingdom), Romesh David (Sri Lanka), Dr. Dorothy Chan (Hong Kong), Vicky Koo (Hong Kong), Dianah Nassimbwa (Uganda), and Gayani de Alwis (Sri Lanka).
